Westminster Dog Show welcomes 2 new breeds
The Russell terrier is the ultimate working-earth terrier because of its small size (10- to 12-inches tall) and unique chest. Its hallmark is the small, oval-shaped, compressible chest, which allows the dog to hunt efficiently below ground, pulling, pushing and bending through tight turns and narrow tunnels. It is one of two breeds eligible to compete for the first time at the Westminster show. (Seth Wenig/AP Photo)
