(WHAS11) -- It was a grand slam weekend for Visually Impaired Preschool Services.
At the Louisville Boat Club on Sunday, there was a tennis tournament to raise money for VIPS.
Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS) is a non-profit organization that teaches early life skills to blind children under the age of five. VIPS serves all of Kentucky and parts of southern Indiana.
"Research shows that 90 percent of what you learn occurs visually," said Heather Benson of VIPS. "So if you take away eyesight then the natural thing to happen would be to fall behind and we don't wnat our children to do that."
Sunday's tournament featured men and women's doubles. There were three divisions and a trophy was given to the winner of each.
