Super Bowl halftime shows through the years
2001 — Aerosmith, ‘N Sync, Britney Spears, Nelly, Mary J. Blige Rock and pop royalty joined forces on the Super Bowl stage in 2001, harmonizing to Aerosmith’s hit “Walk This Way.” The boy band ‘N Sync, then at their pop music peak, kicked it off with “Bye Bye Bye,” and threw it over to Steven Tyler for ”I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” Stars Ben Stiller, Chris Rock and Adam Sandler also made cameos in the opening montage.
