Credit: New Orleans Hosts First Super Bowl Since Hurricane Katrina
The 47th annual Super Bowl will be played in New Orleans for the first time since before Hurricane Katrina. This will be the 10th Super Bowl held in New Orleans since 1970, tying the city with Miami for the most by any single location. The super bowl was last held at the Super Dome in 2002 and the city is planning a week long extravaganza including free concerts, the NFL experience, and a four-day party called the Verizon Super Bowl Boulevard.
