(WHAS11) -- The group called Child Care Aware of America has recently published a report called “Parents and The High Cost of Childcare,” showing that many parents across the country are feeling the pinch when it comes to paying for child care.

According to the report, in 2011, “the average annual cost of full-time child care for an infant in a center ranged from about $4,600 in Mississippi to nearly $15,000 in Massachusetts.” In nineteen states and D.C., the average cost of infant care was higher than $10,000.

According to the report Kentucky has an average annual cost of $6, 594 and the average annual cost in Indiana is $9,880.
