Survivors grimly buried or burnt their dead Monday in southern India as the death toll rose to at least 6,597 with thousands more missing amid warnings of a return of the killer tsunami. Almost half the dead, 3,000 people, were in the tropical Andaman and Nicobar Islands close to the epicentre of the Indonesian earthquake that Sunday sent huge waves sweeping across the Indian Ocean, officials said.
