People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' through the years
Images of John F. Kennedy Jr., whose toddler's salute to his father's casket has a place in American photographic history, made it onto plenty of college dorm walls when he was recognized as the Sexiest Man Alive in 1988. A journalist, magazine publisher and pilot, Kennedy's life was cut short at 38 when he died with his young wife in a plane crash off the coast of Martha's Vineyard in 1999. (People Magazine)
