WASHINGTON (WHAS11) --The 43rd Presidential Inauguration is just a couple of days away and the first family made time to participate in their annual day of service.

President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama visited Burrville Elementary school in Washington where they helped in various community service projects.

The first family also attended the kid's inauguration event featuring performances from Usher, Katy Perry, and cast members from the FOX hit show, Glee.
