Amy Ahonen was last seen on July 8, 2011 in Denver -- the day before her 38th birthday. Her car was found on the side of Highway 6 in Jefferson County, Colo., with her belongings in it, including the keys in the console, her purse under the seat and her hiking backpack in the vehicle. The car was left unlocked. Andrea Ahonen said her sister had an frightening experience with a man several months before she disappeared when she used Craigslist to advertise for a roommate, and she has told police about it. Hoping to save some money, Amy Ahonen posted an ad on Craigslist looking for a roommate. In March 2011, a man who responded came to look at the place and "tried to kiss her," according to her sister. But the Denver police told ABC News Jan. 29, 2013, that they do suspect foul play in the case of Ahonen's disappearance. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains open and active. Ahonen was 5-foot-4 and had a slender build, light blonde hair and blue-green eyes.
