LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Louisville Chapter of the Chrome Divas, a female group of motorcycle enthusiasts, held a Fight Crimes Against Children Awareness Ride on Sunday.
The cost to ride was one stuffed animal.
The donated stuffed animals will be used to give comfort to children who are in bad family situations.
“We're collecting teddy bears that will go to the LMPD to give to children when they are in a domestic violent situation or in a situation where the police are coming to get them and take them out of the situation, said Muffet Sinnock of the Chrome Divas.
The Chrome Divas said they will do at least two more benefit rides in 2012 to raise awareness about domestic violence and diseases that affect women.
