LOUISVILLE, Ky. (News Release) -- To celebrate the world famous Kentucky Derby, the Hillbilly Coalition hosted its 12th Annual Hillbilly Outfield Kentucky Derby Party May 4 -6 to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Hillbilly Coalition has hosted The Hillbilly Outfield Kentucky Derby Party since 2000 and has raised more than $80,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Hillbilly Outfield began in the backyard of Jim Hafendorfer as a weekend Derby party for his close friends and colleagues. After realizing the immense response to the event, they turned it into an annual fundraiser for Make-A-Wish.

Hillbilly Outfield has become a signature event and popular party destination of Derby weekend, with participants enjoying food, beverages, live music and other exciting events, such as the popular corn hole tournaments.

Many Hillbilly Outfield party-goers have even camped out at "tent city" in Hafendorfer's backyard. Guests also enjoy the Derby day races via live video feeds.

"Hillbilly Outfield is a great way for friends and families to come together and enjoy the pageantry of the Kentucky Derby while supporting a great cause," said Hafendorfer.
