Octomom vs. Tanning mom (ABC NEWS) -- Being a famous parent has never been quite so odd. Talk about calling the kettle black, or tan, as in the case of Octomom trashing the so-called "Tanning Mom" for her parenting skills. Last week, Nadya Suleman, the single mother of 14 who gave birth to octuplets after undergoing in-vitro fertilization in 2009, told TMZ that Patricia Krentcil, the New Jersey woman now known as "Tanning Mom" needs parenting classes after she took her 5-year-old daughter to a tanning booth. "If [Child Protective Services] comes to Octomom's house, they should definitely go to [Krentcil's] house, and they should mandate parenting classes for her, for sure," Suleman told TMZ. Krentcil, who pleaded not guilty to second-degree child endangerment earlier this month, has said she never allowed her daughter to go into a tanning booth, though she admitted to excessively tanning herself. Meanwhile, Suleman has been under scrutiny for her own child-rearing practices after photos of her house that purportedly showed her children living in squalor were released to the press. Suleman, whose home is in foreclosure and recently filed for bankruptcy, has admitted she would consider doing porn to provide for her family.
