LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A new hunting and fishing mega-store is gearing up for its grand opening bringing with it more than 200 new jobs.

WHAS11's Claudia Coffey got a sneak peek at Cabela's and why it has hunting and fishing enthusiasts rejoicing.  Click here to view behind the scenes photos!

Cabela's, the 88,000 square foot hunting and fishing giant, is gearing up to open its first Kentucky store in Eastern Jefferson County.

"So when we are looking for new retail stores locations, we zone in on hotspots where we have that loyal customer base. And Louisville fit the bill," Wes Remmer, Cabela's spokesperson said.

"This is the only job I have ever had in my whole entire life where I have liked coming to work," Taylor Lee, a Cabela's Employee said.

From home wear, to camo to guns, the store is trying to find a niche in the outdoor market. Not only can you buy items, but people can teach you how to use them. Instead of shopping in the great outdoors, you actually feel like you are in it.

Most of the Cabela's jobs are filled but they do expect more opportunities in the near future, click here for more information.

This is Cabela's 44th store and it was specifically targeted for Jefferson County. Cabela's opens to the public on April 11.
