SAN ANTONIO -- SeaWorld San Antonio participated in SeaWorld’s 50th anniversary celebration with an fun-filled event at the park Friday.
The pool-side party featured singing, dancing, a bubble party and special appearances by SeaWorld’s animal stars.
SeaWorld took KENS-TV's Sarah Forgany behind the scenes of their 50th anniversary celebration to meet the newest SeaWorld residents.
"The walrus is pretty famous in New York. He was transferred from a New York aquarium to San Antonio after Hurricane Sandy," Forgany said after her tour. "He's a 778-pound baby that eats about 35 pounds of fish per day. He even has his own Twitter page."
Flamingos were also recently brought in to be a part of the new exhibit at SeaWord, located next to Aquatica.
SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration will span the next 18 months, complete with "even more up-close animal encounters and the Surprise Squad, treating guests with prizes and special experiences every day."
