SAN ANTONIO, Texas: March 21, 2014 -- SeaWorld San Antonio participated in SeaWorld’s 50th anniversary celebration with an fun-filled event at the park Friday. The pool-side party featured singing, dancing, a bubble party and special appearances by SeaWorld’s animal stars. SeaWorld took KENS 5's Sarah Forgany behind the scenes of their 50th anniversary celebration to meet the newest SeaWorld residents. "The walrus is pretty famous in New York. He was transferred from a New York aquarium to San Antonio after Hurricane Sandy," Forgany said after her tour. "He's a 778-pound baby that eats about 35 pounds of fish per day. He even has his own Twitter page." Flamingos were also recently brought in to be a part of the new exhibit at SeaWord, located next to Aquatica. SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration will span the next 18 months, complete with "even more up-close animal encounters and the Surprise Squad, treating guests with prizes and special experiences every day."
