LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Chris Colfer didn't want to play up his character's sexuality in "Struck by Lightning." He says if you create a character who appeals to gays, straight kids might be turned off and vice versa. Colfer wants both straight and gay kids to "take away a lesson" from the movie. In real life, Colfer says he's never made a big deal about him being gay. He says other people have made a big deal out of it. "Struck by Lightning" is based on a book Colfer wrote.
