CONSERVATIVE GROUP WANTS STATE TO STOP FUNDING SUNDANCE CAUSE OF SEXUAL MOVIES

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A conservative group in Utah wants the state to stop funding the Sundance Film Festival because it feels some of the movies it's showing are dirty. The Sutherland Institute says the state shouldn't back a festival that features films about porn stars and women having affairs with one another's adult sons. "Lovelace" and "Two Mothers" are part of this year's festival. State officials say they don't oppose the movies being shown. They say people don't have to watch the ones they don't want. Utah expects to spend $300,000 on the festival. It generated $80 million for the state last year.
