The Day of the Dead — or Dia de los Muertos — is held each year on Nov. 1 and 2 to honor loved ones who have passed. Dancers from Danza Azteca Teokalli de Houston recently led a Dia de los Muertos procession down 19th Street in the Heights to Casa Ramirez. A large community altar or ofrenda and smaller family altars are on display at Casa Ramirez through November 10.
