Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)- The patriot guard riders are on a mission and Wednesday they drove right through Louisville escorting a special piece of history.
The Marine Aviation Memorial Tower made its way through Louisville Wednesday afternoon.
It is on its way from Cincinnati to Pensacola, Florida.
The Marine Aviation Memorial Bell Tower was built in Cincinnati and will be the third national memorial to the U.S. Marines.
It will be dedicated during a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park in Pensacola, Florida. It will commemorate the 100 years of Marine aviation and honors all Aviation Marines.
