WAUKEGAN, IL - DECEMBER 07: Workers with A and T Recovery prepare a WWII era FM-2 "Wildcat" Fighter plane for transport after it was recovered from Lake Michigan on December 7, 2012 in Waukegan, Illinois. The aircraft, which was recovered from 200 feet of water, crashed into the lake on December 28, 1944 when the engine died while it was on a training mission being piloted by Ensign William Forbes. Forbes survived the crash. The aircraft, which is still owned by the U.S. Navy, will be shipped to the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida for restoration. (Photo by Scott Olson/Getty Images)
