(WHAS11) -- The final day on the campaign trail had both candidates were visiting must win states.
President Obama started his day in Wisconsin and then visited Ohio where both Jay-Z and Bruce Springsteen performed.
Mitt Romney campaigned in Florida and Virginia before Ohio. At one point, both candidates were only 10 miles apart in Columbus.
The race has been deadlocked for weeks, but on Monday a new ABC News and "Washington Post" tracking poll showed Obama was up 50 percent to Romney’s 47 percent.
President Obama will spend Election Day in his hometown of Chicago. Romney will visit Ohio and Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
