LOUISVILLE, Ky -- Republican Senator Mitch McConnell is criticizing Governor Beshear's move to expand Medicaid in Kentucky, saying it will be too pricey.

A new TV advertisement by the Kentucky Opportunity Coalition claims it could also create higher premiums and layoffs.

The ad calls “Obamacare” a legislative train wreck. The Affordable Healthcare Act, commonly referred to as 'Obamacare' gave states the option to expand Medicaid coverage.

Senator McConnell says the Medicaid expansion will make access to healthcare even more difficult.

The new Kentucky Super PAC commercial praises McConnell’s opposition to the Affordable Care Act.

The Kentucky Opportunity Coalition is spending more than $100,000 to broadcast the commercial for one week in Louisville and Lexington.

The Super PAC is not connected to McConnell’s campaign.
