LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A conservative group is releasing a TV ad accusing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of failing to lead the fight against President Barack Obama's health care law.
Senate Conservatives Action said Tuesday the ad will air across Kentucky for nearly two weeks starting Wednesday.
The ad says McConnell didn't listen to conservatives wanting him to lead the fight to dismantle the law known as "Obamacare."
As a result, the ad says health insurance premiums are up and some people are losing coverage.
McConnell makes those same arguments in condemning the health care law.
McConnell's campaign says the group should focus on Democrats who supported the law rather than a Republican responsible for leading opposition to it.
McConnell is seeking a sixth term next year. He's being challenged in the GOP primary by Matt Bevin.
