Councilwoman Leet calls Louisville violence a 'historic tragedy'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Councilwoman Angela Leet, who is running for mayor in 2018, has called out Mayor Greg Fischer about how he handles crime.

Leet contends that prior to the Fischer Administration there were only pockets of crime but since his election, it has spread like a virus. She said what is happening in Louisville is a historic tragedy.

The city has surpassed 100 murders for 2017.

WHAS11 reached out to the Mayor's office for a response, but we have not yet received a response.
