An exclusive WHAS11/Survey USA poll released Sunday shows widespread disapproval in the bluegrass state.

In fact, of Kentucky’s governor, 2 U.S. senators, and President Obama, only one politician got a positive rating.

We've seen it at tea parties and health care town halls, Kentuckians dissatisfied with politicians.

Ever the political strategist, Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell, the nation's top elected republican, says national polls show that the GOP has made gains since the election of President Barack Obama.

"The fundamental question is not how they're disaffected, it's how will they vote?" said McConnell.

While McConnell’s next re-election fight is still 5 years away, he is the only politician in the WHAS11 Survey USA poll to score a positive approval rating, one percentage point higher than his rating two months ago.

In that same poll two months ago, Kentucky’s retiring Senator Jim Bunning had only a 35% approval rating so even though he got the lowest approval rating from adults in Kentucky, at least it's four points better than last time.

But the biggest winner and loser are both democrats. The biggest winner is President Obama.

Two months ago Kentucky gave him an abysmal 31% job approval rating but he improves a full 15 percentage points in the new poll now up to a 46% approval rating.

It’s not great, but quite a jump.

Meanwhile, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is the only elected leader to lose ground. In the new poll, Beshear is down three percentage points to a 44% job approval rating.
