A local organization is hoping their voice will be heard from here all the way to Washington this week.

The Louisville Grassroots Tea Party held a protest Tuesday in downtown Louisville.

The group says they want Congressman John Yarmuth to know that they are against the new healthcare bill.

"We just represent everyday Americans. We are small business owners, I am a fast food restaurant employee, that are hard working, that want to keep our money, keep the tax money local instead of spending it on frivolous things in the national government," said Wendy Caswell, Louisville Grassroots Tea Party President.

The Louisville Grassroots Tea Party will also be presenting letters to political leaders in Washington on Thursday to voice their concerns against the healthcare bill.
