LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – There was a standing ovation for Kentucky Senator Rand Paul Friday afternoon, March 7, at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland.

Paul is facing one of his biggest political decisions right now. He is trying to decide whether to run for president in 2016 or focus solely on re-election to his U.S. Senate seat.

On Thursday a bill was introduced to free him from the potential dilemma by letting him run for both that year.

At the CPAC, on Friday, he talked about the president and the surveillance policies of the NSA.

Senator Paul will appear on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday morning, March, 9, on WHAS11.
