(WHAS11 Political Blog) -- Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Paul Ryan will extend his visit to Kentucky by at least one day after Thursday's debate in Danville to attend a Friday political fundraiser in Oldham County, WHAS11 News has learned.
An invitation sent to GOP boosters discloses a luncheon fundraiser for Romney Victory, Inc at the Crestwood home of Texas Roadhouse CEO Kent Taylor.
The invitation reads that the fundraiser is "On behalf of Governor Mitt Romney and the Republican Team."
Suggested contributions include $1000 for a general reception, $2500 for a "VIP photo reception," and a 12:30pm lunch with Ryan for $25,000. A $50,000 contribution designates the donor as a "Founding Member" of Romney Victory.
Romney Victory Inc. is a joint fundraising committee that splits the proceeds between Romney for President Inc., the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the federal accounts of the official Republican Parties in four states (Idaho, Massachusetts, Oklahoma and Vermont).
Ryan and Vice-President Joe Biden, the Democrat nominee, will debate at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky on Thursday. The 9pm debate, moderated by ABC News correspondent Martha Raddatz, is the only debate scheduled between the vice-presidential candidates. WHAS11 News plans extensive coverage of the debate, its preparations and how it affects the campaigns.
In April, Romney headlined a fundraiser in Louisville at the Anchorage home of Papa Johns CEO John Schnatter.
