FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- The National Rifle Association's political arm has endorsed Republican congressional candidate Thomas Massie in Kentucky's 4th District race.
NRA said in a statement that Kentucky voters can trust Massie to protect their gun rights and encouraged them to vote for him in the Nov. 6 election.
Massie is in a race with Democrat Bill Adkins, a northern Kentucky attorney, in a congressional district that has a history of electing GOP candidates.
If elected, Massie said he will take seriously his responsibility to protect the rights of Americans to own guns.
Massie has also been endorsed by the Gun Owners of America, the National Association for Gun Rights and Kentuckians for the Right to Bear Arms.
