For the first time since a voice identified as Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo was heard on YouTube warning of a blow-up in the Beshear administration, Mongiardo is responding to questions about that portion of the tape.

The tape said, "I’ve always said that, uh, the only difference between Fletcher and Beshear is Beshear hasn’t had a blow-up yet. But it's coming'."

When asked Tuesday, “Is there a brewing scandal in the administration that the taxpayers should be concerned about?”

Mongiardo responded, “I support our current Gov. Steve Beshear has done a great job especially under these difficult economic times.”

When asked, “If there was something going on, you would have a responsibility to let the rest of us know about it right?”

Mongiardo said, “I think we have one of the best governors we've had.  He's the right person for the job.”

“So, no brewing scandal?”

“Not that I know of... Thank you,” Mongiardo said.

Meanwhile, Mongiardo tells us his campaign is in great shape and gaining momentum.
