FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Kentucky Industrial Hemp Commission voted to begin drafting regulations to license farmers to plant hemp in 2014.
The commission says they recognize the constitutional conflicts over regulatory issues that need to be overcome but say they want to take it to the General Assembly in 2014.
The Senate Bill 50 was passed earlier in 2013 by lawmakers.
The commission says they are working on licensing hemp production in Kentucky.
The "Herald Learder” reports that no one objected to efforts to move forward on hemp licensing.
