(WHAS11) -- The Indiana House has a budget plan of its own that is different than Gov. Mike Pence's.

The house budget plan would swap a $500 million tax cut that the governor wants for spending on education and transportation.

The proposal would also pay for the state police, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and some Department of Natural Resources expenses.

House members say they haven't ruled out the governor's tax cut, but approving it would mean cutting agencies the house pays for in its plan.
