(WHAS11 Political Blog) -- Helen Mazzoli, the wife of veteran Congressman Ron Mazzoli has died, according to family friend and former aide Charlie Mattingly.
Helen Mazzoli was 78 years old. Mattingly told WHAS11 that she suffered a stroke in the Mazzoli's home on Monday.
Ron and Helen (nee Dillon) Mazzoli were married in 1959. They have two children and four grandchildren.
Ron Mazzoli (D) represented Kentucky's Third Congressional District from 1971 through 1995.
