FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) – Kentucky lawmakers will be back in session on Tuesday and Governor Steve Beshear says he’s searching for common ground that could produce a package of tax reforms.
Beshear hopes that during the next 30-day legislative session in Frankfort, state lawmakers will have the state generate more revenue.
Last year, a commission appointed by Beshear came up with a tax reform model that would be able to generate about $690 million a year in extra revenue for the state.
