(WHAS11) - In Frankfort today, families of those killed by drunk drivers rallied in support of a bill that would help prevent DUI offender from driving drunk again.
The rally was a final push for The House Bill 58. The bill would require people convicted of drunk driving to use an ignition lock.
This ignition lock would keep them from starting their cars if they’ve been drinking. The lock tests the driver’s breath for the blood alcohol content.
If the bill was passed, the ignition lock would be a requirement for all DUI convictions and includes first offenses.
