(WHAS11) -- The Kentucky House is set to discuss a bill that would limit laws that violate people's religious freedom.
A proposal cleared a house panel Monday despite objections from the American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU said the measure might allow people to use religion as justification for trampling someone's civil rights.
The bill is based on a similar 1993 federal law.
