LOUISVILLE, Ky (WHAS11) -- A media advisory from the Matt Bevin campaign confirms that he is running for U.S. Senate in Kentucky.
The advisory notes that on Thursday, "Matt Bevin will kick-off Day 2 of his tour across Kentucky announcing his candidacy for United States Senate."
The advisory for Bevin's initial Senate announcements planned for Wednesday says only that Bevin will "announce his intentions in Kentucky's 2014 United States Senate race."
On Friday, WHAS11 was first to report that Bevin planned broadcast advertisements and campaign announcements this week.
According to spokesperson Sarah Durand, Bevin plans eight campaign stops Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. So far the campaign has released the schedule for the first two of the three days:
10:00 a.m.- Kentucky State Capitol, Frankfort
12:30 p.m.- Campbell County Fiscal Court, Newport
3:00 p.m - American Legion Post 229 (Iroquois), Louisville
9:30 a.m. - Ron Logsdon Community Center, Owensboro
12:30 p.m. - National Quilt Museum, Paducah
3:30 p.m. - National Corvette Museum, Bowling Green
