FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Democrat Daniel Mongiardo has raised nearly $1.5 million for his U.S. Senate campaign.
Mongiardo, the state's lieutenant governor, released fundraising figures on Monday, showing he still has $782,790 in the bank. His chief Democratic opponent, Attorney General Jack Conway, hadn't released his own fundraising totals as of Monday evening. But Conway previously said he expects to have raised about $2.5 million.
Spokesman Kim Geveden said Mongiardo is appreciative to the donors who contributed $225,000 between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, the period covered by the latest campaign finance report.
