FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jack Conway has hired a media strategist who once worked for former President Bill Clinton.

Mandy Grunwald of Washington-based Grunwald Communications also worked on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's presidential and Senate campaigns.

Conway announced several other appointments on Tuesday, including Jonathan Drobis as his campaign manager. Drobis was a political strategist for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

Former Kentucky Gazette reporter Allison Haley will be the Conway campaign's press secretary.

Conway called the campaign team one of the best in the country.
