CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory has an early lead in his bid to win a second term.
Mallory is a Democrat who four years ago became Cincinnati's first directly elected black mayor. He faces Republican newcomer Brad Wenstrup in the officially nonpartisan election on Tuesday.
With 5 percent of precincts reporting unofficial returns, Mallory has 51 percent of the vote, and Wenstrup has 49 percent.
