WASHINGTON (AP) — An anchorwoman on a Kremlin-funded TV network is standing by her criticism of Russia's military incursion in Ukraine, saying she would rather risk her job and "go down on the right side of history."

Abby Martin, a Washington-based newswoman for Russia Today, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the network has decided not to fire her for harshly condemning Moscow on the air for sending in troops to take control of much of Crimea, a peninsula in the Black Sea.

During the Monday broadcast of her show, Martin said she was strongly against any state intervention into the affairs of a sovereign nation and pledged to keep "telling the truth" as she sees it if prevents another Cold War.
