INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Gov. Mike Pence's transition group says it has raised more than $1 million to cover the cost of last month's inauguration festivities.
Indiana Works announced Friday that it had raised $1,087,493.65.
The nonprofit group contributed $100,000 from the funds to the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund last week. The organization says it will use remaining funds to close out costs related to the inaugural weekend and to pay for ongoing transition expenses.

Pence and his family hosted a family event at the Dallara IndyCar factory, an inaugural ball at the JW Marriott and a worship service leading up to his Jan. 14 inauguration.
