DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Democratic Secretary of State Alison Grimes and her predecessor, Republican Trey Grayson, will share the pre-debate spotlight on Thursday in an interactive online program for high school students across the country.
Grimes will be at Centre College, which is hosting the vice presidential debate. Grayson, now director of Harvard's Institute of Politics, will participate from Boston. The event, put together by the Global Center for Connected Campuses, is intended to teach teens about the election process.
The program will be online in classrooms and on campuses across the country beginning at 1 p.m. EDT. Renee Shaw, an on-air personality at the educational television station KET in Lexington, will be the moderator for the program.
