LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jack Conway continues to criticize the supporters of Republican Rand Paul who were seen restraining and stepping on a liberal activist outside a debate this week.
Conway said Thursday at a Louisville union hall that Paul "hasn't even offered a half-hearted apology" to the woman. Paul supporter Tim Profitt was shown on video stepping on the woman's head on Monday in Lexington. Conway on Thursday described Profitt as "cowardly."
The Kentucky Democrat Party on Thursday released a TV ad called "The Rand Paul Stomp," which contains video of the activist being pulled to the ground and then stepped on.
