LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul still hasn't decided whether he'll face off in one last debate with Democratic opponent Jack Conway.
Paul has raised the possibility of backing out of the final scheduled debate in protest of a Conway TV ad. That commercial links Paul to a secret group years ago that mocked Christianity at Baylor University.
Paul told reporters Thursday that he'll announce on Friday whether he'll join in the debate scheduled for Monday night on Kentucky Educational Television.
Paul says he is talking it over with family and campaign aides. The rivals have met in four debates so far during the fall campaign season.
Paul continues to refer to the Conway ad as shameful and appalling, and said that a person's faith should be a private matter.
