Police: 2 men dead after domestic dispute escalation

Hudson, Ky. (WHAS11) – Two men are dead after an altercation that officials report stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Just after midnight on December 20, Kentucky State Police responded to a call requesting assistance at a shooting in Breckinridge County.

When officers arrived, they found Donny Peek, 60, and Jeffrey Moore, 55, both deceased in the driveway of a Centerview Rough River Road home.

According to reports, Peek was the live-in boyfriend of Theresa Moore. Witnesses reported that Peek and Theresa Moore were involved in a domestic dispute when Jeffrey Moore arrived. Jeffrey Moore and Peek then reportedly engaged in a physical altercation in the driveway that resulted in Peek shooting Jeffrey Moore.

Jonathan Masterson, the 28-year-old son of Theresa Moore, reported he attempted to render aid to Jeffrey Moore when Peek allegedly fired a shot at Masterson. Reports indicate that Masterson then pulled a gun and fired it at Peek, striking him several times.

No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
