(WHAS11) -- A connection between President Barack Obama and the moderator of Thursday night's vice-presidential debate has been discovered.
Turns out the president attended moderator Martha Raddatz's wedding 20 years ago.
The president and Raddatz' former husband were classmates.
ABC News released a statement on Wednesday after other news organizations starting reporting the story. They say both presidential campaigns have no concerns with Raddatz's role as a moderator.
Raddatz is ABC's senior foreign affairs correspondent who often travels to war-torn parts of the world.
