LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - - Many people across the nation know them as two of the biggest retail chains around and they are taking their disputes to the court room.
Macy's is suing J.C. Penney over claims that J.C. Penney's entered into an unlawful contract to sell Martha Stewart Living Products beginning in February 2013.
Macy's says that the deal is a breach of contract because it already has a deal with options to exclusively sell the line through 2018.
The suit is asking for unspecified damages and an order to block the deal between J.C. Penney's and Martha Stewart.
