(WHAS11)-- A family’s night out at a Texas Applebee’s went awry when the sheriff’s deputy showed up.
Half-way through the family’s dinner the restaurant’s manager told the family they had to leave because the children were making too much noise.
The father, Eli Gau, said everything was fine until his oldest boy began wandering away from the table.
“As I was grabbing him and coming back, the manager was walking to me,” he said. “Straight forward to me.”
Gau said his boys can be a handful, at times, but there was no reason to get kicked out of the Applebee’s.
The police didn’t make any arrests and gave the children a warning.
Applebee’s issued an apology to the family and offered free passes for dinner.
Gau, and his family, said, “no thanks.”
