(WHAS11) -- A 19-year-old made the catch of a lifetime during a Make-A-Wish trip to Hawaii. Sterling Ellis is in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
As part of his trip from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, he went deep sea fishing off the coast of Hawaii. He landed an 11 foot long, 759 pound marlin which didn't give up without a fight.
It took Ellis and the boat's crew more than an hour to reel in the massive fish. Ellis will get to keep the marlin's bill as a trophy and souvenir.
He will undergo a bone marrow transplant when he gets home.
